Race Against the Raven: The Cooperative Orchard Game
Cueillir tous les fruits avant que le corbeau n'arrive, tous dans la même équipe.
Step by step
- Print the orchard board, fruit tokens, and die, then cut and fold them together.
- Set the scene: "The raven wants to eat our fruit! We have to harvest everything BEFORE he reaches the orchard."
- Explain the die: roll a color to pick that fruit; roll the raven and he hops forward one space.
- Decide TOGETHER on every open choice ("Which fruit should we save first?"): talking it through is the heart of the game.
- Experience the finale as a team: celebrate a shared win, or brush off a shared defeat—the raven better watch out next time!
- Debrief together: "What helped us win or lose? What should we do differently next time?"
What it builds
Nobody loses to their brother or sister here: everyone wins or loses together against the raven. Your child learns to follow rules, wait their turn, and make decisions as a team, with none of the tears from head-to-head competition. Ideal for sore losers in training.
