My Daily Weather Chart

Une case par jour près de la fenêtre, à cocher selon le ciel, et à compter en fin de mois.

Step by step

  1. Print the monthly chart and hang it near a window, with a pencil tied nearby.
  2. Every morning at the same time (like breakfast), look out the window together: the daily routine makes it stick.
  3. Describe what you see first ("What's out there? Sun? Clouds?"): observe before picking a symbol.
  4. Let your child color or check today's symbol in the right box. Missed a day? No big deal: leave it blank and keep going.
  5. At the end of the month, count the sunny and rainy days together, then color in a simple bar chart.
  6. Compare months side by side ("March was so much rainier!") and connect it to your "inner weather" (the feelings wheel) for fun.

What it builds

Watching the sky every morning and tracking it is real science in your pajamas: observing, recording, and discovering at the end of the month that all those little marks tell a story. Routine makes the scientist, not a microscope.
