Photo Labels for Tidy-Up Time

Une photo sur chaque bac de jouets, pour que chaque objet retrouve sa maison.

Step by step

  1. Take photos or print pictures of what belongs in each bin (cars, books, stuffed animals).
  2. Stick each label onto its bin together with your child.
  3. Walk around the bins together and introduce the game: "every toy has its own home!"
  4. Always kick off tidy-up time the same way (with a dedicated song), and pitch in alongside them.
  5. Ask questions instead of giving orders: "Where does this book live?" and let your child decide.
  6. Take it further: try subcategories (big vs. little cars), tidy up with spoken clues only, or give them their own dedicated zone.

What it builds

With a photo on every bin, tidying up turns into a fun sorting game in their own bedroom. It builds real independence: they learn to find and put away their toys all by themselves, without having to ask for help.
