Fold-and-Draw Monsters
La feuille pliée en trois, chacun dessine sa part sans voir, et le monstre apparaît.
Step by step
- Fold paper sheets into three sections, and give a pencil to each player.
- Explain the secret rule: everyone draws WITHOUT showing, then folds to hide their drawing.
- Round 1: draw a head, extend two little neck lines just past the fold, fold it back, and pass it to your neighbor.
- Next rounds: draw the body (with little guide lines past the fold), then the legs and feet.
- Unfold together on the count of three: giggles guaranteed as the funny creatures appear.
- Keep going: give each monster a name, invent its life, hang up a mini gallery, or try 4 sections for older kids.
What it builds
Nobody drew the whole monster, yet here it is: combining imaginations makes something better than anyone could make alone. Kids get a taste of creative surprise and learn that a drawing "accident" can turn into the best part of the artwork.
