Talk Through Daily Care
Les soins du quotidien transformés en conversation, chaque geste annoncé et nommé.
Step by step
- Pick a daily routine: diaper change, bath, getting dressed, or feeding.
- Before each move, say what's coming next ("I'm going to lift your legs").
- Name body parts and objects as you go, using clear and specific words.
- Pause for a few seconds after speaking while looking right at your baby.
- Echo their sounds back to them ("aaah? aaah!") like a real back-and-forth chat.
- Keep doing this during every routine: consistency does all the work, not one big effort.
What it builds
Babies build their entire vocabulary from the words spoken directly to them, long before they can talk. A few narrated sentences during every change and bath add up to make a huge difference in their future speech.
