Gentle Baby Massage and Skin-to-Skin
Un massage tout en douceur après le bain, puis un temps blotti en peau à peau.
Step by step
- Warm up the room, wash your hands, and grab baby-safe oil and a soft towel. Pick a calm moment when your baby is content, like right after bath time.
- Show your open hands and tell them what is coming ("I'm going to massage your legs now, okay?"). Watch their reaction before you begin.
- Use slow, gentle strokes. Move from legs to arms, then their back, naming each spot as you go.
- Slow down or stop if baby shows any signs of fussiness, and linger on the spots they enjoy. A short massage is still a wonderful massage.
- Finish with quiet skin-to-skin snuggles in dim lighting, keeping things calm and peaceful.
- Offer this regularly around the same time of day, but never force it if baby is not in the mood.
What it builds
Gentle, predictable touch is your baby's very first language. Calm hands and soft words help them deeply relax and teach them that their body is safe with you—the true foundation of trust.
